“I wandered everywhere, through cities and countries wide. And everywhere I went, the world was on my side.” Roman Payne
Small Stones#24
Sometimes I wonder if my curiosity is intact
I wonder if my zeal for exploration is waning...
I think back to past ventures and wonder...
Am I seeing as much of my world or not?
What is real and what is invented?
More below!
“In wisdom gathered over time I have found that every experience is a form of exploration.” Ansel Adams
Small Stones#24
Just as I completed my second stone here, the server crashed
All my ponderings vanished... Blogger don't you have autosave?
Must explore that experience soon.
On my walks, I sometimes see things with new eyes...
A shrub here, a path there... all news.
Perhaps new explorations begin first in our hearts
and then our heads...
What are small stones?
According to the originators of this wonderful exercise, a small stone is a short piece of writing (prose or poetry) that precisely captures a fully-engaged moment. The process of discovering small stones is as important as the finished product. Searching for small stones will encourage you to keep all your senses; - your eyes,(and ears, nose, mouth, fingers, feelings and mind) open.
Some Food for Thought: Do you explore your area for new insights? Take a moment to contemplate what Exploration means to you? Love and Peace.
I would love to hear from you: Please leave me a comment. Thank You!

ReplyDelete"Every experience is a form of exploration" such a lovely thought, each day we learn something new either from our own mistakes or from looking around us or even taking a moment to introspect opens us up to a new world. Your posts are thought-provoking.
ReplyDeleteBlogger and autosave...well, things happen. Sometimes, when I finish a draft, I copy the whole thing and paste on a note pad or doc file before hitting the publish button.
ReplyDeleteMeenakshi TY! I wonder as I get older if my love of exploration will become jaded. I hope not. :-)
ReplyDeleteTY Reshma! I hope to keep learning and exploring as it keeps my mind fresh... Yet, I sometimes wonder... :-)
ReplyDeleteTY Aileen, I wish I had fair warning before the server crashed... I would have made a copy which I do keep. Que sera, sera! :-)
ReplyDeleteThere is so much for us to explore and discover. It would be great if plane tickets were cheaper too, lol!
ReplyDeleteI hear you... I could use a free Oprah sponsored vacation too. :-) TY!
