Refresh With Cottonelle: For A Clean You Can Feel...

How well did you treat your bum today? When SITSGirls sent out the initial announcement about the Cottonelle Care Routine's Let's Talk About Bums campaign, I was thoroughly amused by the subject matter.  I mean, how often do we get approached by total strangers who want to know the details of our bum cleaning routine? Right away, I imagined a fine, well dressed gentleman, mike in hand, cameras in tow, walking up to a lady at Grand Central Station, NY saying: "Ma'm, Let's talk about your bum. Do you Cottonelle?"  I laughed so hard and so did my twins when I told them. I grew up with bidets and figured this campaign could be fun, so,  I signed on pronto.

The Cottonelle Care Routine Package

YouTube: Cherry Healey Crosses The Pond

Who would have thought that writing a dedicated post on the subject of bums could induce so much humor?  Sure, we all have bums; we all have bodily functions, and yet, we often avoid having discussions on the subject. Why? For starters, without a touch of humor, it can be an awkward conversation to have... and there's never a "right time." Most of us blush when someone broaches the subject because we like to keep our bathroom habits private. However, even though talking about our bum action/routine might be embarrassing, avoiding the topic won't make it go away. Bummer, right? Avoidance means we might miss out on learning a better way to get clean. That’s why Cottonelle Care Routine partnered with the witty, chatty, and funny Cherry Healey to nudge people to chat about the way they wipe. Have you seen the ads or watched the video? How well does this compare to your bum care routine?

How did you feel after using the Cottonelle care routine?
When I received my lovely care package, I opened the box to find a pack of four toilet paper rolls and a flushable cleansing cloth dispenser. it was time to make nice and be kind to my behind. Earlier, I shared above that  I've used bidets as part of my cleansing routine, so the idea of wipes made perfect sense. I loved the texture of the toilet paper and wipes, soft yet firm, and the wipes weren't soggy but moist enough to give a thorough clean. While it might feel weird at first to incorporate cleansing cloths into our bathroom routine, ultimately, the combo leaves us with a clean and fresh feeling that's truly impressive; I was ready for anything. Using the wipes in conjunction with the toilet paper felt terrific and doubly clean. You've got to experience it to believe it... the Cottonelle care routine works. I love it and I bet your tushy will love it too. More below!

“From the stage I've seen people of all ages absolutely roaring at really good toilet humor.” Adrian Edmondson

Q: What did one toilet say to the other? A: You look a bit flushed!

Still with me? Have any good toilet jokes? We all use toilets and love the jokes that come with them. We also love great looking toilet accessories. Another thing I loved about the Cottonelle package I received is the elegant, compact, and discreet design of  the Cottonelle Flushable Cleansing Cloths dispenser. It is now available in a sleek, newly designed, upright beige dispenser that makes it easier for everyone in my household to enjoy the clean and fresh feeling of the Cottonelle Care Routine. The dispenser is refillable so all you need to do is to replenish your empty dispenser with refill packs. The discreet design blends in beautifully in my bathroom and the size makes it both portable and easy to display. The wipes have a delicate, clean smell that won't overwhelm your bathroom and they are septic and sewer safe. I invite you to try the Cottonelle Care Routine for yourself.  Cottonelle Toilet Paper and Cottonelle Flushable Cleansing Cloths are designed to work together for a clean we can feel. Join the conversation by visiting the Cottonelle Facebook page and let’s talk about your bum.

Some Food for Thought: Have you tried the Cottonelle Clean Routine?  If yes, What did/didn't you love about it? If no, What stands in your way and what would it take to move you forward? 2. Welcome back to the blog hop :)

It's toilet paper and water and soup for me. The latter pair is a must. My sister-in-law once bought several wipes with soap suds and gave me a pack. I liked using that too.

  3. Thank you Farida for your feedback! It was a fun exercise and informative too. I know it can be an awkward topic for some but the subject matter is important to all of us and we can respond without divulging too much. Thanks again! I don't know where our fellow members are... :-)

  5. I think back here in the Philippines, soap and water is most important, then toilet paper last. Haha! I don;t think I can just live with toilet paper alone. Thanks for sharing such detailed review, Eliz!

  6. I'm currently using the Cottonelle product right now. The tissue is very soft and the wipes smells so good. I just simply love it:)

  9. antibacterial soap, a lot of clean water, alcohol and soft durable tissue works for me. I have not seen this brand on supermarket yet. Is this practically affordable?

  10. I haven't tried this product yet. I think it's not available here. I think I'm going to love Cottonelle. I also like that it comes with a dispenser.

  11. Toilet paper, water and soap for us. I am not contented with toilet paper alone :) But I see to it we never run out of toilet paper.

  12. i guess most of us here prefer the toilet paper, water & soap ritual. if i'm not in the house, bidets and wipes are very essential. but this is a great review. maybe they'll actually think of exporting to other countries too?

  13. I would much prefer flushable cleansing wipes too, hehe.

  15. For me, it's mostly soap and water. I'm not a tissue-person; I'm more of a wet wipes person! :D

  16. I've been a Kleenex user ever since! :) For me, it's water, soap, and kleenex.

  17. Like Marielle Faye Garcia, water and soap is important here in the Philippines. Hmm maybe the rich also have the tissues and bidets. But commoners like, water and soap is a must. I also used the left hand in doing the washing :-p

  18. Toilet paper, then water and soap lol I am super OC-OC (O.C.). Anyway I saw this cottonelle opp over at SITS

  19. I guess in our country, it's always been soap and water in most homes, like what Marielle said...and then there are some, like Farida who use toilet paper as well. The wipes are when you're not at home to do the deed lol! Even with wet wipes, it just doesn't feel clean enough without the traditional soap and water.

  20. i am so into tissues! i think it's so soft and thick. compare to the other tissues.. hehehe thanks for sharing

  21. I have heard about this brand but it is quite costly. IT is soap and water for me too if at home.

  22. This looks like a promising brand. In your country I bet this is the best one. Back home in the Philippines, we have Joy as the best tissue brand.

  23. we don't have cottonelle in cebu yet. as for my toilet habits, i wash when i'm home, otherwise, toilet paper and wet wipes for me.

  24. I agree with most of the ladies here, soap and water is a must if you really want to feel clean. But a good quality tissue is also nice to be used on the last part...I mean to dry up. (lol)

  32. Great review! I hope I can find this brand in the supermarket.

  33. Is this in the Philippines? Definitely, this is not in Zamboanga! Or if it is, the stores are closed because of the Zamboanga Crisis anyway.

  34. We do not have a bidet but I recently stayed in a hotel with one and it makes sense. That flushable cottonelle wipes would be a nice partner for a bidet.

  35. I went to supermarket and tried to fine some cottonelle..looks like the brand is not yet available here. We'll try soon as I get my hands on one :)
