Haiku: Expressions Of Jealousy...

"Don't waste time on jealousy. Sometimes you're ahead, sometimes you're behind." Mary Schmich

Lady Jealousy...
Today, raised her pretty head
Spewed poisonous words...

In silent disgust...
The seething lady made plans
Take the other out...

Today, the word is Jealousy

What is Carpe DiemBlog Owner, Kristjaan Panneman,  describes it as:  "a weblog on haiku. It's a new daily haiku meme where you can write a classical or non-classical haiku on a given prompt. Haiku is an ancient Japanese poetry form. A haiku has three short lines and describes a short moment (as short as the sound of a pebble thrown into water). Mostly a haiku counts 5-7-5 syllables and is sometimes called 'counted verse.'"

"Jealousy is the fear of comparison." Max Frisch

Lord Jealousy seethes
Anger over consort's act
A lover's letter...

Now resentment grows
A pernicious plan takes hold
Slowly smites the heart...

  9. Jealousy is the fear of comparison. - very well said. I admit that I always get jealous when my husband talk to girls, but it's just something that we joked about - it's part of our marriage. But we make sure that it will not affect us that much. It's just a spice hehehe!

  12. I am not the jealous type of person... so usually, I am very contented with what I have and I strongly feel God has given me so much much more than what I ever asked for!!! I decided to put my son in Ateneo De Zamboanga University even if they have a very large class of about 40 for the section and about 200 for the whole class level and even if he will not excel that much with grades, because I want him to know that there will always be people better than him and also people behind him! I want him to see reality early esp. that he is an only child!

  23. I don't think I'd ever really been the jealous type. Thankfully. Jealousy, when left to rule, could mean really bad for a lot people. For others, it could mean striving to better themselves.

  24. I say never let how you feel be dependant on another person, being a slave to jealousy can only inhibit finding your own happiness. And we women especially need to learn to be happy for other women's successes! Thanks for stopping by my blog yesterday, I love what you're achieving with yours!

  31. Very aptly described as poison. It's got this gnawing feeling that eats you up and makes you think and do irrational things. That's why it's important to keep a good hold of our emotions, particularly these kinds.
