Musings: Good Deeds Flow...

"To be doing good deeds is man's most glorious task." Sophocles

Musings: Good Deeds Flow...

Small Stones #30
The Good we do flows out and then back to us
Like a river cleansing and healing the banks
wherever it goes
Good deeds Flow...

More Below!

"Thinking good thoughts is not enough, doing good deeds is not enough, seeing others follow your good examples is enough." Douglas Horton

Musings: Good Deeds Flow...

 Small Stones #30
Who came up with the idea
Of random acts of kindness?
It is good for the soul...
For each kindness reverberates
like a pebble in a pond
Spreading far beyond its origins
healing other souls
Good deeds flow...

What are small stones?
According to the originators of this wonderful exercise, a small stone is a short piece of writing (prose or poetry) that precisely captures a fully-engaged moment. The process of discovering small stones is as important as the finished product. Searching for small stones will encourage you to keep all your senses; - your eyes,(and ears, nose, mouth, fingers, feelings and mind) open.

Some Food for Thought: Do you find time to show random acts of kindness? Take a moment to contemplate what Good Deeds mean to you? Love and Peace in 2013.

I would love to hear from you: Please leave me a comment. Thank You!

  10. I agree with this one. Sometimes, doing good deeds especially to your enemies is very diffucult taask but once you made it, it was really a victory.

  19. Good deeds do find a way of circumventing. A single act of kindness goes a long way and sometimes, it goes right back at us.

  22. Firstly, I wanted to say how much I loved the picture you posted. I could just get lost in it. Snapping out of my reverie/daydream and reading what you had written, I agree that small things are important- they add up to big things and are not to be underestimated. Nice post.
